The firm principal began his career in human resources management at Florida Steel Corporation (now known as Gerdau), where he served assignments in North Carolina, Florida and Tennessee. His responsibilities included plant level as well as corporate roles. During this tenure, Phillip cultivated professional relationships with industry leaders as well as many of the leading engineering universities in the Southeastern United States.
